McLain Flats is the name of the “back road” into Aspen that goes along the plateau above the Roaring Fork River and is a quick 10-minute drive to Aspen’s Central Core. This spacious plateau used to be large farming holdings before the mini-mansions were built. The views from this area are mesmerizing with sweeping vistas from Independence Pass to Mt.
